    Operateur 240 Hamilton.
Won at Hamilton last night and I think looks capable again but can anyone help me understand the weights/penalty issues for this runner after winning last nights race?
Thanks in advance for any answers

Has been hit with a 6lb penalty after last night AFAIK.

Don't take this as gospel, but my understanding is that he's got the mandatory 6lbs penalty, which would still leave him ahead of the handicapper IMO.

It would concern me slightly that all his recent wins were at Hamilton and he tackles a different course today.

    Good luck.

thank you. Not one i am on just wondered why some horses turn out quickly to avoid running under a penalty yet here it states that if running here will run with 6lb penalty for victory at Hamilton last night. I am also quite interested in Taxiformissbyron who has won me money before.

Shmee thanks for your posts last night. I forget to hit that thanks button all the time. Its paid for my smoke and more for the weekend. Much appreciated despite my self inflicted dementia.

    No bother, glad to share.

A nice touch now landed and have to go to Mr. John Boyle soon and collect a few more pound.

Some races like apprentice handicaps don't carry the standard 6lbs penalty, but ratings are reassessed every Tuesday for performances in the previous week.

Horses can be raised based on collateral form of horses they beat etc.
    It's complicated. :D

18 55 think akasaka is overpriced at 33s with lads. Won off of 99 and 98 last year in dundalk. Ground should suit. Now runs off 89 with c murtagh talking off 10 pounds. 1 Pt ew

Race came too quick maybe, 3rd.

Had to make its own running which didn't help either.

Chance to Dance seems to be up against moderate enough opposition tonight, not sure if he's a bit short at current prices or whether you'd want to be wary of the Weld yoke.

Had a bet on Curlylocks 5.25 Curragh, 5/2.

Will have come on from first run LTO and was well supported in market. Up against an O'Brien newcomer and not much "word" about for this one either so I'm happy with Curlylocks.

If there's a strongly fancied O'Brien type in a race, sometimes Wachman doesn't enter anything against it, not saying the opposite is the case but it's something I occasionally look out for.

Words could be a very smart filly. That was a very taking debut performance, slow away and had to challenge down the wide outside but went by the whole field nicely.

And obriens wins and no support then on the show. You just don't know with him.

Twice curlylocks was supported now and punters end up out of pocket.

    Following these tonight:

    Nonchalant 8:00 4/1 - Curragh
    Third Dimension 6:55 9/2 - Curragh
    Thatcherite 8:50 13/2 - Newcastle

Got each way singles on and a trixie.

Been picking some good ones lately so hope it carries on.

Fancy Lady Mega at 11/4. Not a great price.

Six silver lane way too big to ignore in the next. Trip and ground went against it last time. If he hadn't run there he'd be more of a 12/1 shot imo

I like Jazz Girl at 16-1 in the 8.00
    EW.
Ran well over c&d 3 races back, should run similar race.

Backed Nonchalant in the 8.00 at the Curragh, think it has a great chance and is a nice each way price at 6/1.
