    How all?

Hope you all have silage in and plenty of time to answer my Question? :-D. i've a 97 Case 4230 giving a bit trouble. i can get it into hare mode on any gear. Seems like Dual power is gone. There's about 7000 hrs up on it. i checked wires by button and all look good. Is there switch or fuse ( i wish) for it ? or (more than likey) Power control unit in gearbox?

    Thanks for any help.

Did you check if you have power going up to the switches? From memory I think there is another switch or fuse near the clutch peddle.

Happened out 4240. Could be fuse but at them hrs I'd be saying your tourqe switch in gearbox is gone. We redud ours but no sooner had it done than it slipped again. We just welded her in the high box. I'd suggest the same

Could be as simple as wires stripped going down from the switch to the solenoid although it's more than likely that the friction plates are worn in the torque pack in which case it's a big job to repair, and expensive too, To the point that i've seen lads drill through the packs and bolting them solid leaving the tractor in hare mode permenantly.

Wiring on the switch gives trouble too, theyre soldered on but we just taped them on new switch. There is a fuse too for dual power.

have seen the earth wire where it bolts on to the cab floor breaking and causing that problem
