Hi! I hope you are all well!
I had a Cube Agree GTC Race for the past 4 years.
It is time for me to replace it with a new bike.
This is the spec of my old Cube. I upgraded it with Mavic Kyserium Elite S wheels..

I am looking at the Canyon CF SL 9.0...

Do you think the Canyon would be as good or better than my old Cube?

I was looking at an Ultimate AL bike, but they are sold out!

    Appreciate your advice and feedback!

I wouldn't worry about the Canyon being better than the Cube. Don't know too much about the cube, but as far as bang for your buck with 2014 bikes, the Canyon can't be beaten. Super light and stiff and pretty comfy for a full on race bike.

I presume your Cube is a carbon frame? I upgraded from a Cube Agree SL (alu frame, carbon forks), to a Canyon CF SLX last year and the difference is night and day. Never had any problems with the Cube and it's still my trusty winter bike, but the Canyon is just a different league.

Apart from being about 2kg lighter, I find the Canyon way more responsive when putting an effort in. Used to read bike reviews and hear them go on about frame stiffness and responsiveness and thought it was all waffle from the reviewers but one spin on the Canyon and I understood.

I'd double there's much real difference between the CF SLX and the CF frame ride wise, SLX is just a smidgen lighter. Fantastic bikes for the money. If you need any help regarding frame sizing differences between Cube and Canyon I can have a look at the size frame I have, got a M in Canyon and I'm around 5'11" but can't remember what size the Cube frame was.

How would the Ultimate AL Slx compare to the CF SL?

I will be using the bike for club rides, sportives and trips to Alps/ Pyrenees etc??

    Thank you!
