My brother is on the dole but has gotten a job until the 30th of August now. Can he just sign off for those few weeks? When September comes around will he have to go through the whole process of applying again?

If the job is for 8 weeks or less then they should be able to payment suspend his claim. If he has documentation showing the end date of the job tell him to bring that in to his local social welfare office.
