    About Network (1976)

The interview style is unbelievably serene. The way he presupposed reality television when talking about public executions and the like been televised is almost prophetic, they laugh off it as a bizarre and absurd idea. It's weird to watch it in hindsight. The video looks so clean, almost modern.

    From the comment section:
This clip also shows how much TV talk shows have changed; a WRITER is being interviewed; and the flow of the interview is not really being cut and shaped by the host's inane questions about the movie's stars, but here, Dinah lets Paddy speak his piece, other guests chip in a bit, respectful of whomever's time in the focus it is. Not to mention Mr Chayefsky's pretty unvarnished view of the world of TV.
