Gaming PC ~€650

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a gaming PC for around €600-650.

I'd think prefer intel to AMD and I've picked out a few things but I'm not really sure what's best for the price.

I haven't picked a new hard drive but kind of want to start fresh with that too.

€650 is going to be really tight for a i5 gaming build with a copy of Windows so I'm going to suggest two builds, one Intel one AMD, I would suggest the AMD more if it's mainly gaming it's going to be for so you can free up funds for a better graphics card or at the very least a non K part i5 since you have no intentions of overclocking.
Also the 650 is a last generation graphics card and isn't very good for gaming with newer games:

Thanks for the response.

If I was set on an Intel build would it be worth pushing the budget up a bit more to around €700 or would that not make much difference?

I also wouldn't need the DVD drive and could probably use my existing HD to spend that money on other parts.

TBH there very little between the i5's and the FX 8 cores especially when it comes to gaming there practically the exact same but if your set on a i5 here's what you could get for €700, same processor but with a better graphics card and a SSD to go with it so it would be more than worth it:

How does geizhals.de work? Do I search for the items and then follow a link to a different site?

Yeah, you type the name of the product into the search bar on geizhals and hit enter. This will bring you to a list of sites. Just scroll down to hardwareversand option and hit the button. This will bring you back to the hardwareversand site with the discounted price.

Just add it to your basket and rinse and repeat with the other products. They should all stay in your basket when you put them in.

Make sure you check the prices on hardwareversand first though, because sometimes it can raise the price. (very rarely)

Its probably easiest to follow the links on the basket above and copy and paste the names into the geizhals search bar. You might have to fiddle with the names a bit until you get the right product on geizhals but its fairly easy to do!
