Leap Card Cap vs Rambler

I'm a bit confused on this.

If I get the student 5 day rambler, it will cost me 20 quid and last me the Monday to Friday commute to work by bus 39a.

However if I simply top up my leap by 20 quid then once I spend up to 20 quid on buses in the current week, it caps out.

Basically if I choose the rambler over cash topup, I actually gimp myself. Aren't ramblers suppose to be better value?

Taking multiple busses a day, yeah it is

The 39a is a horrible route if you don't get it from Ongar in the mornings. Consider parking in town, better for the sanity

Why? Its handier than the 39. They should have some running straight from Ongar towards the Centre and avoid the Hartstown loop. 39 x or something like that.

The difference is that the 5 day rambler ticket is for non-consecutive days. So you could use 3 days one week, 2 days another etc.

If you are travelling every day however, then simply use the card in epurse mode and avail of the capping. Just keep it topped up with sufficient cash!

You can however save more money with the 30 day rambler ticket.
