    Hi,

Looking at purchasing one of these (2011) - 320 Msport...Any major things to look out for or opinions? Its 80,000miles, price is around 16.5 K which seems reasonable?
Driving is a lot of short trips with a few longer ones wont be doing more than 10,000KM per year...

    Thanks

Its a fair chunk of miles on a 3 year old car. Make sure that the service history is fully up to scratch and fully verifiable.

I'd be wanting for a bit less than €16.5k given it's petrol with above average mileage and assuming it is tidy and has a verifiable service history.

Sorry that should be 60k miles

But the car in general ? Any know defects or expensive repairs?like turbos etc? I presume this doesn't have a dmf or dpf like diesels. ?

The petrol engines don't have a turbo or DPF. However these engines can suffer from injector problems.

    Coils.

Unless it was sorted by 2011 (doubt it), that engine pops coils / nox sensors / injectors, like nobody's business.

Had many 2007/2008 Petrol 3/5 Series on our fleet, and every single one had issues with nox sensors/coils/injectors.

Ok is injector trouble linked to mileage or poor servicing or just poor design ?
    Is it an expensive repair?

    Poor design.

Mostly it's covered under warranty / goodwill, but you are hit with the cost f diagnosing the issue - even though you can tell the dealer what's wrong with it. That was the case the last time I took one in, but that was 2010 so may be different now.

I'm buying off a private seller any tell tale signs the injectors might be on the way out ?

318i badge on the back :pac:

Hesitation at light acceleration I think. It's been a while since I've driven one (thankfully).

My friends 2010 320i was nothing but trouble. He had it since new an kept jitter ing when idle. Bmw took the car back for almost a month changing various things and the problem stopped for a few weeks and started again. I've been in it when it jitters and it properly shakes around. Almost like a massage chair. Haven't really heard anyone els with the problem but just letting you know. Great cars. I feel they also lack in power tho. If be getting the 325i or 335d if you can stretch. Even if it is a year or 2 older than the 320
