Am going for 2.5 weeks to Croatia end of August, early September.

Fly into Dubrovnik and fly home from Zadar.

Anyone any recommendations of where to stop along the way (must see places).

    Thanks

I strongly agree with the 'see Split'! Also Dubrovnik if you have some time (but Split first... it's incredible). Btw, you should be able to see the two of them: they aren't big cities..

Omis-- Kaka park and waterfalls-- Kornati islands-- Makarska---and hundreds of tiny resorts dotted along the coastline. A few years ago I flew into Trieste in Italy, and got the public bus down to Split. I stopped off in a few different places along the coast. From Split I crossed the border into Bosnia i Herzegovina to visit Mostar and from there, back to Metkovic and on to Dubrovnik. And didn't cost a fortune either. Good luck with your trip, You'll definitely enjoy Croatia.

If your a smoker the bus will stop at a little rest way when you breifly cross into Bosnia. Pick up your smokes here. Around 20 euro for 200 malbourgh.
