Hi all, just wondering if anyone here could confirm that I'm taking the right steps with regard to my tax situation...

I'm teaching language classes for an institute and I'm being paid by them on an hourly basis, but not through PAYE. I started in January 2013.

It took me a while to find out what I had to do, so I left everything until this year, but I have now finally registered for tax, i.e. submitted a TR1 form.

Am I right in assuming that I will now receive some documentation in the post from Revenue that I'm registered for tax, that I can then set up the Revenue Online Service, and that I then need to do a tax return and pay tax for the tax year 2013 before the 31st Oct as well as pay preliminary tax for 2014?

Sorry, this is probably (hopefully!) straightforward, but just want to make sure that I'm not missing anything here. Thanks!
