Cancellation fee trailfinders

I booked a hotel in Havana, Cuba for 3 nights yesterday in trailfinders as a surprise for my wife, but found out that she has also booked a hotel as a surprise for me from a different travel agents. We actually both booked the Iberostar Parque Central as we were discussing where to stay for the last number of weeks and the Iberostar Parque Central kept comuing up as the best. I booked it for 678 for 3 nights but she got a great deal of 550.
I found out she has booked it but she does not know I have it booked also, I rang trailfinders to cancel and was told that it will cost 250 just to cancel, I do not know if/how much it will cost to cancel in the other travel agents.

Has anyone cancelled with trailfinders before and/or gotten a free cancellation?

I have all the flights booked with trailfinders(non-refundable) and all our holidays for the last 5/6 years were booked with them, Austrailia, America(4 times), honeymoon, Thailand, etc.

I just got a call from Trailfinders telling me that seen as I only booked yesterday and that I have used their service alot over the last few years that I can cancel the hotel in Havana Cuba free of charge instead of the 250 I was originally quoted. There was no big hassle with them, they literally called me within a hour of me making contact.

Great service as far as I am concerned.

This tread can be closed now as this issue has been resolved. Thank you.

I don't think they saw this thread as I got the call within 30 - 40 seconds after I posted it. If they did then brilliant, either way they were a pleasure to deal with.

It's nice to hear a good news story for once about this. Good customer service and retention by them.
