    Hi, I was thinking of booking an hotel room online at the Charliville Park Hotel and when I get to their booking page to input Credit card details The URL is http://secure.charlevilleparkhotel.com/bookings/reservationform.

    I would have expected the URL to be https:// with the usual Lock.

    Is this site safe and secure to input information. I am using Windows 8.1 and Chrome Version 35.0.1916.153 m

    There's this buried in some javascript:
    https://securepay.netaffinity.com/cc?trans_token="+data.trans_token+"&css_id="+data.css_id+"&lang="+data.lang;
    			jQuery("#bke_reservationform").find("input,select,textarea").attr('disabled','disabled');

    which probably makes it secure but we can't be so sure. No matter it's nevertheless a bloody awful execution method which flies in the face of good practice and reassuring users.

    Ok, this is what I thought also, I was just looking at some hotels in Kilkenny and those that use the netaffinity booking engine use this http://secure url method
