I would like to know peoples feelings about this. I had a call from Manpower last week re working at IBM. I had a screening interview with them last week which went well. So far so good. The lady involved did not tell me when the job would start but said that she would get back to me on Monday with a interview time. Monday came and went without any call or email.

Yesterday morning I had a voicemail from Manpower to get in touch with me on the number provided. I called several times. All I got was the engaged tone. I called the main number for the office. Same thing. Yesterday evening I got another voicemail at 6:30 asking why I did not contact them as they tried to call me several times and that they need to speak to me asap as I have a interview today (Wednesday).

I got a call early this morning from Manpower apologising but she does not know what is the problem with her phone but that I have a telephone interview at 2pm. The start date would be Monday! I have received the interview pack etc but have several questions re same, salary, contract etc. It is so short notice that I feel not prepared for the later interview.I was to get a call back at 10:30 but waited 15 minutes and now have turned off the phone as I have to prepare for a 2nd interview with another company scheduled a while back at 12.

Sometimes I feel that agencies are in it for their own gain without any consideration of the person attending the interview. I had a similar situation last week where a agency in Limerick promised me the earth, moon and stars re a interview and put me under pressure to attend. When I went down to Cork there were differences to what they gave me to what the company expected. They have not called me back as promised with a outcome:mad:
