Are there graduate accounting opportunities abroad?

Hey, I'm currently on the job hunt in Ireland and not getting much in the way of success so I'm seriously considering expanding the search and possibly looking abroad for work.

I'm just curious as to how realistic I am being? Would accounting firms abroad (Ideally I'd like to work in an accounting firm, but I'm open to a finance role at a company) be likely to take me on and train me even though my degree in accounting, and the modules I have undertaken, are all based around the sector in Ireland, and to a lesser extent the UK i.e. at college we've focused almost solely on business practices and procedures framed within an Irish legislative environment (company law, sales law, Irish & UK GAAP, etc.).

Just to add further context to that, I've quite a strong academic record but I haven't much in the way of relevant work experience other than a 2 month office internship in Canada.

I would expect it is going to be easier to get on a program in industry than practice, unless you stick to British common wealth countries. On the other hand there are also opportunities in Europe with large multinationals such as this one at Syngenta
