Galaxy Note 10.1 Irish Plug

    Hi Guys,

I live in The Netherlands and bought a Galaxy Note 2 10.1 tablet last year so it comes with a European plug. I'm back in Ireland every 2 weeks, and the tablet barely charges for me - I've used an adaptor, a Blackberry 3-pin plug (usb lead slots into it), got a Juice plug from Carphone Warehouse, and the tablet could charge all night and it still says 20%.

A sales assistant from Dixons said it's impossible to get an Irish plug for a Galaxy tablet, I've looked on ebay as well, but none are authentic Samsung plugs.

Any advice of where I could find one, or by any chance does someone have one lying around the house for a tablet they don't use anymore? I have a lead, so just the 3 pin plug I need.

    Thanks!

Have a look in Tesco. A few of them (Dublin) are selling off Belkin 2.1A USB chargers cheap enough. Your cable is fine, your issue is that the USB chargers you are using are outputting lower current (1 or so amps), you need an output of 5v or so at 2A (see the small writing on your Samsung charger (5v 2A?). Any generic USB type charger pushing 2A or so (like the Belkin) will do you fine. Have a look at the chargers your using, mostly well below 2A out? USB voltage is mostly 3.7 to 5, but its the Amps that provide the charging push you need.

Ok hold fire on this... Just testing my 2.1A on a note and charging is weird, doesn't seem to do it. Will have to investigate further. The Samsung USB cable might indeed be different so it could be the cable rather than the USB brick.
