Thanks - would the ETA 2671 movement be regarded as superior to the ETA 2000-1(?) movement found in those Longines? She might appreciate the hardiness of having a proper WR watch too (I think the Longines are 3ATM).

I'd prefer B&M but it's not an issue to purchase direct either.

I've never really looked at Sinn pieces (men's or women's) before - how would they compare to Longines in terms of quality? I imagine my sister would know of Longines more so than Sinn.

If she would like a Rado, there's a selection in BTs sale at 60% off. There's a mix of men's and womens, but the display is in the mens section for some reason. They're at the bottom of the spiral staircase, beside the Polo section. They're very nice pieces for the money

Any automatics? Might pop in to take a look later this week. Do you know when the sale lasts till?

Do you know what ladies Rado lines BT has on sale?

I was in there yesterday. Definitely some men's autos there, but didn't look too closely at the women's models. They had a few Dior as well.

Had a wander around town today some things popped up for consideration as well:

Tissot Powermatic 80 with diamond and MOP dial - interesting that it's so cheap (relatively) - I guess Swatch have really held them down as the entry watch. Any reason why this is 800 euro cheaper than some of the Longines/Tags/Rados I've looked at?:

Anyone have any experience with the powermatic 80 movement?

Another recommendation was the Rado diastar - no diamonds but a nice clean legible dial:
    http://www.chrono24.com/en/rado/womens-d-star-ceramos-watch--id2607995.htm?dosearch=false&searchexplain=false&resultview=list&sortorder=0&maxAgeInDays=0&watchTypes=U&manufacturerIds=211&gender=1402&movementTypes=1&dialColor=708&urlSubpath=/rado/index.htm&manufacturerIds=211

I had thought that Rados were too austere in design but this one actually looks nice and the case is "ceramos" - which certainly has a different feel to it compared to steel.

    Any other suggestions?

It's interesting - after looking at the 1200-1400 region, finding out the Tissot is only 800 makes the price seem "cheap" ha!

Or I could just get her 31 Vostok Amphibians - no more quick set date issues when you have one for every day of the month :D
