    http://news.sky.com/story/1288330/archbishops-call-to-combat-brainwashing

"All religious leaders, whatever tradition they come from, have got a duty to work together to make sure that our young people are not being brainwashed into some kind of nonsense."

He may be talking about radicalism, but brainwashing is brainwashing.

Brainwashing of our children is the fuel that keeps religion going from one generation to another. If it were possible to expose young people to religious beliefs only after say the age of 12, religion would find it very difficult to survive in the world.

    As would Winnie the Pooh.

No religion, so no children's stories either?

Irony aside, he's coming from the right place. But yeah - brainwashing is only what other religions do.

I believe this to be true.
Religion is like circumcision; if you wait until someone is older to tell them about it, they probably won't be interested.

Not at all. Simply commenting on the similar mechanism. I love Winnie, because I read it first as a wee kid. If I heard about it first as an adolescent, probably not so much. Religion I left behind because I was expected to continue believing something unbelievable. Winnie was allowed to become fiction once I got to a point in my cognitive development where I could discern between fiction and reality.

Not only is the pot and kettle black, but also the cutlery, crockery and saucepans.
