Going to make a Coffee Helper App - What would you like to see from it?

    Hey Guys

I wanted to try out a different way of making apps (using a game engine) and I thought a coffee helper app would be a good one to make. If it works out ok the same app should work on Desktops(Windows/Mac/Linux), Web, Android and IOS

But rather than just throwing any old thing together I wold like to make a decent one.

So what would you like to see from such an app? Is there an app you currently use for timings etc? What do you like/dislike about it

    Thanks in advance

I'd like to be able to weigh my coffee beans (and boiling water) by placing them on the mobile device's screen.

    ;)

I'd like to be able to get my brewing ratio by putting in the weight of my water and grounds, or vice verca.

I'd like there to be memory bank with my previous brews and a place to make notes about them.

I'd love to be able to get extraction percentage by putting in my TDS and brewing ratio.

As for timing, I'd love to be able to set up a multi-step countdown and name the different parts.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll probably be releasing small bits and often so it definitely wont be one big bang fully featured out version. But I'll keep you updated.

There's a really good app that was made by a fellow Boardsie on here
    http://coffeeclockapp.com/

I think with coffee it can sometimes be difficult to keep everyone happy, but as with all software the best ones are those that do the basics very well and build from there.

I suppose to sub-divide by brew method to start. Links to purchase beans, grinders, accessories etc. Maybe independent reviews on pods too for most popular machines and a comparison guide. Also the Aeropress timer App is very good so maybe some content on this? Hope this helps.

I cannot wait to get my iPhone for this very reason. I'm doing exclusively Aeropress right now. When I get a new, better paying job, a nice scales/timer and pour-over kit will be a present to myself.

    Broke ground on this today!

Working title for the moment is "Brews Clues : Coffee Companion" but we'll see

Just going to start with a basic timer, then move to a multi step one
