My advice is to return it and get real diagnostics, I had launch products on trial and they were shockingly poor

Genuinely interested here. What good diagnostics units are out there?

What did you find bad about the launch?

Have that launch myself but wouldn't be my first choice I usual have branded diagnostics on my laptop. Mercedes star.lexia for Peugeot and citroen. Vas pc for the vags and BMW icom. These are expensive but when you have them they are the way forward

It didnt work alot of the time! not linking to cars it should have, no support despite the fact they were trying to convince me to buy it!
The live data readouts were often totally wrong which could lead to serious misdiagnosis, tried to tell me atmospheric pressure was 2 bar for example, rail pressure wrong, air flow wrong etc and felt cheap and flimsy

I recommend Autel for a good solid diagnostics unit, very versatile and the support is amazing, new updates every day and amazing functionality

Thee's no one tool to do all. I don't use Launch so can't comment on it.

I use genuine Op-Com for opel and Dec SS 11 for French, Citroen/ Peugeot, Renault also very good on Fiat, Alfa.

It's modular so you can choose which makes you want to cover.

I bought a Diagun X431 in Dec 2011 and it worked once and died. All my requests by email for assistance and a return address were ignored and the listed phone numbers rang out.

My advice is do not buy.

I suspect you bought a clone.

I would expect any warranty on a new GENUINE unit would be honoured by Launch.

Where did you purchase it from?

I purchased it from Sungtool, China. When it arrived in Dec 2011, the "QC Label" seal that was placed over the casing screw was broken and I immediately reported this back to Sungtool, but never got a reply nor any subsequent support.

Autocom/Delphi are also very good, there updates if you need them are a bit pricey though but usually have a good few features added.
