What's the best way of cleaning all the crap off tyre walls?

A strong APC mixture, spray on, agitate and rinse off. Don't be afraid to use a fairly stiff brush...just keep it away from the alloys.

I actually find a solution of Bilt Hamber Surfex HD and a good scrubbing brush give better results.
