Supp Welfare Allowance

    Hi all,

Going through a separation at the moment, moved out and looking for work. Have been awarded supp welfare allowance while they're processing my claim for social welfare. So if I understand correctly, as it stands, my current rate of social welfare is very low but in a meeting it was agreed that I would get supp welfare allowance to bridge the gap as I'm waiting for my claim and for them to adjust my means test. (Not yet legally separated)

I received a letter from social welfare which outlines the very small amount of social welfare payment due, yet no letter has been received regarding the supp welfare allowance. Is this collected at the post along with the social welfare payment. Getting quite worried!! Will contact them tomorrow as well. Just wondering if anybody knows offhand. Thanks a lot!
