    Should be fine as long as you don't do anything other than gentle trails and fire roads! Bike is very heavy, Suntour forks are poor and brakes are mechanical rather than hydraulic but for €300 you can't go too far wrong!!

    Some people have told me Carrera are reasonable but will some people think this is a BSO? Just want to be sure I'm not buying pig iron. It seems to have the same mechs, brakes etc as the likes of Giant snd Trek.

    Carrera are grand for what they are - I don't think they could be fairly described as a BSO! The components will be heavy and basic but not unreliable!
