Hi,I'm an apprentice electrician.I'm out of my phase 4 since last wednesday and have been told that there's not much work at the minute in my company.
I'm just wondering if I'm entitled to anything from the social for the time being?
I wouldn't mind but I have a family to feed and my wages are the only income coming in.

If there is no work at the minute then get a letter from your employer stating you are on temporary lay off giving the date and go to your sw office and apply for jobseekers. If you are working the odd day here and there you can sign on for casual jobseekers.

As soon as you make a jb claim your FIS will be payment suspended.
