Back in the real celtic tiger it was horse-drawn helicopters.

A friend of mine teaches in a rural village school. For her communion class in 2007 her head teacher and the parish priest had to join forces to prevent a number of parents landing helicopters in the playing pitches adjoining the school and church to bring communion kids to the ceremony. Classy.

Lets 'face it. If my ma had tried to fly me to school in a helicopter for any reason, I would have been thrilled mortified beyond belief.

I think they're just trying to exploit new business opportunities. Maybe lure the people who'd spend the same on a horse drawn carraige into hiring a vintage car for the child's Communion/Confirmation. There must be a fairly limited market with mostly just Wedding hire. Limos and hummers seem to be the vehicle of choice these days. My 2 cents worth, I think it's ridiculous hiring a vintage car/carraige for a child.

In a classic car, just like Jesus traveled to his first communion.

I'm surprised no one has done a sort of 'Chicks and Fawns' business - organising parties and trips for the little ones before the big day (younger Hens & Stags!).

Anyone wanna come to Dragons Den with me?
    It'll make bazillions!
Think of all the coke and hookers!

I have a pumpkin shaped horse drawn cart to take me to the shops every day.

What's Jesus got to do with it? Why do people always insist on bringing religion into these threads about Communion & Confirmation?

Love the idea of money for joining correct Religion, Then showing off how much money you have to the rest of the people in the correct religion.
