    Hi,

Looking for a decent pair of bib shorts to protect my hoop from 10+ hours in the saddle. Nothing over €130 as cant really stretch that far financially.

    Thanks :)

id say you wouldn't go too far wrong with Castelli and depending on price, Asos. Sportful have a good range as well and Santini.

Of my very few pairs of bib shorts, Giordana Silverline are much my favourite.

I don't think anyone can simply recommend someone else a pair though as what suits one person may not the next. For instance I've a pair of Santini's which I don't get on with at all, which doesn't mean I'm doubting the people who do like them.

Never did anything close to 10 hours on a bike but I wear these and find have no issues at all. Longest spin with these is 140km

Lot of people recommend santini our new club gear is by them has the gel intec pad same as these.

Did 200k first time wearing them and 450k a few weeks later with no bother don't even use chamois cream. Best shorts I've used out of cofides, altura and spin11.

Spin11 were good but the stitching on pad frayed very quickly. Santini have a newer max2 pad that is meant to be very good. I may try castelli shorts next tempted by the nanoflex ones. I have a few pieces of their gear which I really like would be first choice if I had the money.

Might not be the greatest idea to use a new pair of shorts for the first time on the Marmotte........
