EMS shipping/China counterfeits

I am looking to buy a replica (fake) branded guitar from China. Has anyone got experience with single counterfeit items being seized by customs? Im not buying in bulk to resell, it is for personal use only. I bought a fake pair of Beats for myself before but that would be a lot less noticeable than a guitar. I will also have to pay import tax on the guitar so is it likely they will check whats inside?
I also heard that customs checks EMS packages as they know it comes from china, is this true?
This is all assuming that the fake has the real company logo on it. I could have all logos and trademarks removed and then it should be safe.

They dont look for counterfeits as such. they look for registered trademarks being used without the owners consent. If you import a guitar without any brand markings at all i cant see how it would be stopped as a counterfeit. After all, if there are no brand marking what is it a counterfeit of? Of course if you import something from china with fake gibson or fender markings then it probably will be caught and it will be confiscated without any recompense to you. and rightly so.
