Just wondering is first year hurling popular and is it difficult to get a place on the panels?

There is 2 squads virtually every year and it will be difficult enough to make 1sts squad. Not so sure on second squad. Only way to find out is to try out in September. What level of hurling have you played to?

I played football but I can only assume it's basically the same thing. There was a freshers team just for first years but after that there is junior, intermediate and senior teams. I know the footballers used to struggle to get numbers in the summer when the club championship was on
