Regional Qualifying for the Open @ The Island

    Just spotted that there's a regional qualifying event for The Open on tomorrow in the Island.

    Anyone know what or who to expect to be playing at this?

    Might try to pop in for a look.

    I've heard these events are great as you can get up close to the action and there's no real crowd there. Also can be some quite big names playing

    Poor enough field alright, usually thought there was a couple bigger names than that. Maybe a few are exempt from first stage. No Gavin Moynihan? Would he be through to a further round? Presume he would have played on his home course otherwise

    Just had a look at the results so far. 73 the best in with every second score in the 80's.

    No, think it could be 6 but not 100%. Remember seeing the application form before. It's expensive enough if I remember correctly
