    Hi,

I just completed the Men's Gran Fondo 6 Jersey ! Thanks very much :P. But I have a serious question. Is the jersey worth getting ? They are selling the Men's Gran Fondo 6 Jersey for $109 dollars with $20 on top of that for shipping. There is also an option for bibs for $135 and shipping reduces to $10 ($254 all in).

I completed the challenge twice but didn't get the jersey last time. Not sure if they are a rip off or nice.

It looks like cuore logos on the silicon strip and on the leg of the bibs. I've been wearing cuore stuff for a year and it's very durable and comfortable. And my stuff was a lot cheaper than that, so maybe the more expensive stuff is even better? I personally wouldn't pay that much for them, especially with the strava branding on it.

I have never heard of cuore but it sounds good. The top has some nice ideas like an inside loop for your earphones to connect to your IPod or whatever so you don't have the cable hanging on the outside. Still I'm not sure of the Strava on everything either.

I saw someone with one of the earlier jerseys in town recently. Looked nice enough but if importing, remember that you most likely will have to also pay duty and vat. Iirc most stuff coming in now is quite strictly checked. I even had a $50 small envelope marked as screwdrivers (which was correct) opened and resealed with the 8.56 charge sticker.

I forgot all about the import tax. Sounds like they are a premium product though.

You would certainly be a premium "member" wearing that

:D not cheap. There might be something on Wiggle or chainreaction that would make it look expensive.

Its your money and your achievement! If you like it and can afford it then I would be all over it!

Premium gear will feel nice along with a reminder of your acheivements! Although Strava can get addictive so could prove an expensive addiction long term with all the acheivements available!

I reckon you'd be a bit of a tool to purchase and wear a "premium" and "exclusive" online "achievement" jersey.

Go buy yourself a nice set of tyres, or put the money towards the n+1 bike instead.

I've seen this kit "in the flesh" so to speak and it looks pretty good. Its your money, if you want it...buy it.

(Personally, I'm reluctant to buy any clothes off the web as I prefer to try it on for size and fit before i buy)

Bs. I spent the last month looking for a Rapha Netherlands country jersey from last year for the putfall wc.

You'd want to be very sure of every one of your own expenses to stand up to this level of criticism.

I think the sizes are ok as long as they don't come from Italy. As a reminder of a personal achievement I might just get it this time around.

Do get it. It's a classy jersey & you've earned it. What anyone else thinks about it is irrelevant.

OP, did you get that jersey in the end and are you happy with it?

Seen a different colour one in the wild, they look very nicely finished.

You will have to pay an extra 40e or so when it arrives, compliments of FedEx.
