Going to NYC in September and got tickets for the Jets v Bears in Metlife Stadium for the Monday Night game. Anyone been to the stadium before? How easy is it to get out there from Manhattan? I know I could Google all of this but cant beat first hand experience!

Theres a bus that goes direct from the Port Authority station in NYC to Metlife. Struggling to remember the number bus but its very handy. I headed down to the Port Authority Station the day before and asked them what the craic was and they sorted it all out for me. Think it cost me $5 or something pretty reasonable anyway. 15-20mins job and very frequent.

This was a 1pm Sunday Giants game but I presume its the same story for a Monday night Jets game.

I was there for the butt-fumble game but we drove from upstate NY so I'm not much help. There was a train line of some sort which arrived directly at the security checks so it's probably worth checking that out.

My only advice would be if you plan on buying any food or drink inside the stadium make sure to bring plenty of cash with you as it is very pricey. IIRC they wouldn't let us take liquids of any sort into the stadium and all I had was a bottle of water. There is wi-fi in the stadium which is pretty decent too.

I havent been but i was going to go last year.

You can get a bus as Morrison says, but your best bet is to get the train from Penn Station, there is a change over somewhere but its seamless from what i gather.
Takes about 25 mins, think its 10-15 dollars

Also a +1 costs, food/drink is pretty damn expensive in stadiums.

Trains to Met Life are handy. Penn Station to Secaucus Junction and then from Secaucuse Junction to Met Life. Trains only run gameday to Met Life. Thing is with trains though they run I think up to 3 and half hours before game which is handy enough but end an hour after. So as soon as the game is over you would need to get on a train. The station is right beside the stadium though so not far too walk.

I got the bus direct to it from Port Authority for a Thursday night game before. Was out there for a Electric Daisy Carnival festival as well, and same thing.

Some info on it here: http://www.metlifestadium.com/getting-here/public-transportation

Found it very easy to get to, and the stadium layout is great. Was September two years ago that I went, but give me a shout if you have any questions about it, or NYC in general, and I'll see what I can remember!
