to describe the feeling of being denied and the forlorn desolation of one who has typed up an extremely witty and intelligent post in reply to a thread, only for the message "This Thread is Cliosed!" to pop up?

I can only speak from personal experience but I've never seen a Mod write this.

Can you explain what the word means?

    It's now called "catallused"

Feel free to put it into some sentences! Past, present and future tense.

But that's just it Alf, it is different from disappointment, the feeling is more refined than mere sadness, yet not so deep as a sudden malaise. You know?

To cliosed is to make famous or celebrate.

To thread is cliosed or this thread will go down in history.

    Bereft.

Bereft is actually pretty close to what I'm feeling, but it crucially lacks that initial pang of bewilderment and the after-taste of having been confounded. I'm stumped!

Judging by the [presumed] thread you're referring to, I'd call it a conspiracy.

A big, atheist, groupthink, leftie, liberal conspiracy.

I had it all typed out and everything and I'm damned if I'm typing it again. Anyways, without the context of the OP the delicious brilliance of it would not be apparent.

TBH, I can't really remember it now, such was the ephemeral quality of its finesse, it was the execution rather than the content which pleased me.
