I have freesat built-in on a Panasonic TV. What external hard drive can I get to record stuff on. Would a USB stick do or does it need something bigger?

As a rough rule of thumb allow 4 gigs per hour of HD. USB keys are not recommended as they wear out quickly with continuous use.

    Thanks Gerry. Any recommendations?

I use a (very) old Freecom 80gig USB powered HDD but many seem to recommend a Samsung m3. Haven't used one myself. Have a look at the terrestrial forum debates on combo boxes which covers the same issues.
