Perhaps amused by the fish puns here, Eamon Cuiv decided that the culprit here was a worthy candidate in the Pleas-for-Votes scheme.

Crazy stuff, hadn't been aware of this story and pass that fishshop on the way to work every morning. FF representations unbelievable in these cases... But anyway 5 years siting in a freezer  and the staff oblivious selling away...

Eamon was just on Galway Talks yesterday morning talking about Niall Collins!

Listen here, he's the first person on the show.

Moved out from an old 2007 thread, in which a body was found in a freezer in a shop on Henry street.
It turned out a Galway drug dealer had killed a Dublin drug dealer and hid the body in his freezer for many years.

"Now in a lot of cases in the people I would be dealing with would be quite marginalised and wouldn’t have access to the huge advice that maybe middle class people would have and they do rely on people like us to make a case on their behalf"

Right. Cos us middle class can just throw money at lawyers. That drug guy was probably pulling in more per week than most poor desk jockeys

Was it ever explained how the body was five years in the freezer?

Does anyone ever really get to the bottom of a chest freezer?

Like you continue to top it up and then just use what is near the top so understandable really.

Is it ok to make jokes about people who died in Galway 5 years ago or more? If so, I've got some zingers lined up

You have irritable bowel syndrome? You have my sympathies, but not sure of the relevance here.
