It's not really a 'youth station' it's a station that caters to what old people think the youth want.

That's probably why the site is useless on mobile.

That's exactly what it is. When they introduced the new music policy last year they loaded up the computer with a bunch of new songs. Problem is they are still playing them as if they only came out yesterday, not enough new music on the playlist.

Really was just a half arsed attempt at a rebrand. Too little has changed. For it to be a youth station you at least need to get rid of tubs and Hayes, have a few more specialist music shows on in the evenings and not just keep to the same safe play list all day and night long. Give it 5 years and we might see a better station but it definitely ain't gonna change overnight.

On a positive note, it's good to see Eoghan mcdermott starting on weekends. He'd actually be quite good at drive by I think. If they're going the youth route it's about time they got in some younger djs.

Young fresh not related to Gerry Ryan etc. new blood should be always coming in. That'll bring in a fresh perspective on music.
Ultimately the companies and advertisers tell the Tweens what's new, so it's a lose lose unless you give some selection choice to newer DJ's. Take a chance.
