Anyone recommend something to carry the emergency kit while out on a spin?
Just need something big enough to fit the usual sort of kit - phone, CO2 pump, patches, few small tools and maybe a spare tube.
I had a LIDL under-saddle bag but it was ****e for some reason I can't remember.
Kept getting in the way of the back light as well which wasn't ideal.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

A better saddlebag, off of which you can hang the back light?

I use one of these storage bottles

Looks better than a saddlebag IMO.

I like them myself. Buy during the summer, one could end up mighty thirsty bringing one instead of a saddle bag.

As buffalo said, a decent saddle bag plus your jersey pockets and if you're not vain about your bike a frame mounting bracket for your mini pump.

    I have this http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ortlieb-micro-saddle-bag/
I have a co2 pump, a spare co2 cartridge, spare tube and a multi tool in it and still have space for my keys.
I also got this http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ortlieb-mounting-set-for-saddle-bag/ so I could swap it between bikes.

I don't like having things like mini-tools poking me in the back, plus I wouldn't like that stuff in my back pocket if I came off.

Oh wow, this one reduces aerodynamic drag: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/scicon-aeronaut-aero-saddle-bag/

It's definitely the aerodynamic drag slowing me down...

    emergency blanket

    /EMT hat on

Foil emergency blankets aren't great. They're part foil and plastio. While they're a great reflector of heat they're also a fantastic conductor of heat when they're in direct contact with skin.

For them to work right, you need something like a blanket between the skin and foil blanket, otherwise they're just a placebo.

Hate seeing them being given out at the end of marathons etc. Waste of time....

After an unpleasant experience a few years ago I always carry a spare battery for my phone.
