Hotel in The Hamptons Long Island

Hey folks planning on heading to New York for week mid july with my g/f. Have an Uncle over so will be staying with him for a few nights but would like to relax for a few days when we land and we were thinking of going to Long Island. Can anybody recommend a hotel with pool and access to the beach? Would be for 4/5 nights.…

http://www.gardencityhotel.com Brand new indoor pool and fitness center coming Summer 2014

This is where we stay if we are operating from JFK. Nice place, walking distance to small town main street, taxi to larger stores and train into Manhattan. Not sure about the nearest beach.
