Stacking square bales

    Was just wondering if its alright to stack square bales of hay on the concrete in the hay shed or do you need pallets?

    I've heard that stacking them on their cut side is alright?

    No they will take the damp.

    Use pallets, tyres or old planks. Anything to keep them up off the concrete!
