Vacum cleaner recommendations needed

Urgently!! Husband was halfway through hoovering and sparks started to fly from the back of the one we have now. Have a budget of approx €150, would prefer bag less, and if anyone has suggestions where to buy also! Looking to buy something half decent as opposes the the €40 tesco own brand kind that just exploded!! Many thanks.

If you can stretch the budget a little bit, curry's have a miele s700 on sale at the moment for €199 reduced from €359. Not bagless though . I had a vax from tesco €70 and it didn't last.

i know its not bagless but the henry vacs are ultra reliable and excellent suction bags for it are cheap bout 8 euro for 10 bags the henry its self it 129

I have the 73231 version and it works great. Small compact bagless, the only isuue, as such, is you have to clean the lint/brush on the suction head regularly as it traps a lot of fibers (as it is supposed to??). This is currently not available under amazon prime as the 73230 model is now

I bought a 2nd hand Henry off a classified site about a year ago for £35, it is a great machine.

Is the henry a heavy Hoover to lift upstairs? That would be my only worry, also where do I find it for €129? Only saw it for €179!

We have a dyson dc39 that we got as a gift but had a henry before that and really cant recommend him enough. Great suction and with a great big hairy golden retriever it's generally just brilliant. Good price too.

+ 1 on the Henry. We've one at home and I use mine for oil boiler servicing !!
