    Hi all,
Just a quick question : What is the correct lubricant to use on car door locks, spray thr'u keyhole etc.
Is 3 in 1 oil ok or should it be a silicon based lubricant
Vehicle has been idle for some time and locks etc. are very very stiff.
Have oiled all hinges etc but worried that certain type of oils may damage any plastic/rubber components in the locking mechanisms.

    Thanks.

    M.

You should use graphite grease in a lock. And only a small bit.
