iPhones have never even had a regular HD screen, never mind a full HD screen, so I'm not sure too many people will be bothered given the popularity of iPhones. Maybe Amazon were trying to keep costs down.

Eh... very dark photos but the design looks like an iphone 5 rip off.

There is more than one mobile phone for every man woman and child in the country already. And apparently nobody has any money due to austerity. So I can't see any of them being sold here.

Got to love the video that pops up. Paid actors pretending to be 'regular people' :pac:
But $199 to $649.99 is pricey. Too much for a phone in my opinion. It's akin to walking around with a €500 euro hanging out of your pocket for everyone to see.

I can't see it being popular here purely because it doesn't look very nice, aesthetically. It's so basic and cheap looking, and neither the spec nor the gimmicks are good enough.

Its an android phone, its competing against the best Sony, Samsung, LG, HTC etc have to offer.

For the price it should be Full HD, what's the point of snapdragon CPU and 330 GPU if its using screen tech from 2 years ago?

Nexus 5 is cheaper and more powerful and its out nearly a year now

You'll have to ask Amazon that.

My point was merely that phones evidently don't need Full HD in order to sell well.

This tilt/sideboob thing is indeed fairly impressive.

It gets a 'hey thats pretty cool'.

However on youtube they seem to be foaming at the mouth over it while masturbating fervently.

the other 90% of the phone - you can have pretty much all that in a Chinese import for 100 euro.

I'd pay up to 200 max, if I wanted it.

Pfff.. back in the day we used to make our own phones.

We'd get two empty washed yoghurt pots, make a little hole in the bottom of each pot with a needle, feed each end of the 20/30 meter length of fishing line through each pot and tie a knot so it wouldn't pull back through. When you and your brother/sis/friend pulled the line taught you could whisper into your pot and the person at the other end could hear you loud and clear from his 20/30 meters away.

Yawn. A few years too late really. Samsung and Apple have the market, this Amazon phone will probably bomb.

Nice bit of kit, but the competition is stiff I don't think it offers a good reason to stray from Samsung/HTC/Sony.

The types they wheeled on to advertise it would put me off straight away.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
