"Progress" and speed bumps

In my last driving test I got marked down for lack of progress.

One question I have, if I'm on a road with speed bumps, should I aim for a consistent speed, let's say 30km/h on a 50km/h road, or should I accelerate between ramps, and then brake before the next ramp?

In normal driving, I'd just maintain the low speed, but on a test, would that cause you to be marked down for lack of progress?

I'd say you should speed up between the ramps.

Unless the bumps are very close together you should be accelerating between ramps and slowing again. Progress generally means be natural, and follow the flow of traffic. Other drivers wont slow and remain slow when there are ramps, so neither should you. Exceptions are when the ramps are close together, but even then there will be an element of speeding up and slowing.

Just checking, were the marks for Progress on the Straight?

The speed you drive on a road with ramps is dependant on the size and severity of the ramps, the gaps in between and lots of other stuff. It could be tipping along at 5/10kmh or 45/50kmh.
