Hi guys, I'm currently in the middle of converting the garage of my house to a normal room. Part of this involves replacing a garage folding door with a window. The door had a single wired sensor, whereas the new window has two opening sections. Can the two sensors be run off a single cable, or will a new run be needed? thanks in advance......

When you say the door has a sensor is it an inertia shock sensor or just a contact?

Either way the answer is yes, multiple wired sensors / contacts can indeed be connected off the same cable.

Just a contact on it presently, will probably get someone in to do the job for me. Good to know I don't need to run cable in a fresh room though. Thanks!

What type of system have you.?
You may need engineer access if that zone has not been set up as analysed.

If the gross and pulse has being switched off on that zone then it can be wired into a zone with window sensors on it.
