    That's not the date stamp. Look for a 4 digit number on the sidewall. Some tyres only have them on one side so it may be on the inner sidewall.

    The first 2 digits are the week number, the second 2 are the year. So code 0712 means week 7 2012.

    Sometimes they just put the plant code etc. which is what you're seeing there on one sidewall, and the full dot code including 4 digit date code on the other one for some reason, so try looking on the inside.

    That doesn't seem like the right code either.
    But, judging by the cracks I would say it's time to change.

    Oh they're old alright! And I'll be changing them. I'm just wondering if they're older than the Euro. :)
