Buying Phone from Expedite Electronics

Looking at buying a LG G2 or SGS4, some of the prices on here look good, £280 for a 32GB G2 or a 16GB S4.

    http://www.expeditelectronics.com/

After doing a bit of research, they're a Hong Kong company but ship from a depot in England. Your items will be delivered with a UK postmark. There's more info on this thread on AVForums. After initial suspicions, most of the people who took the plunge and purchased are happy. They accept PayPal, so you're covered if they fail to deliver, and they're also a seller on Amazon Marketplace.

Is there anything I should be wary of? Would the fact that it comes from the UK mean that I wouldn't have to worry about Customs Duty?

There would be no customs as they are in the Eu.

Well, I see a 16MB Moto G Dual-SIM there for £136/€170, free shipping, only to UK, so Parcel Motel is available, so add €3.50

    That's a good price I think.

Cheapest on Amazon for 16GB is £154/€187 (Irish VAT) for similar, single SIM unlocked model, free shipping to Ireland.

Of course, you can get PAYG 8GB versions much cheaper, even from Irish Networks, Tesco and Meteor I think, unlocking only costs about £2.

Actually just checked there, both Tesco and Meteor charge €150 PAYG 8GB, factor in €2 unlocking, €152....

So the above from expedite seems a good deal for this phone, I have one, an early 16GB from Tesco Direct, for around €150'ish.....

anyone buying it won't regret it.

The only thing is the Dual SIM, which there does not seem to be so many ROM's for.

    When I last looked.

Did you ever but from this retailer in the end? Looking at buying something off them now myself as they are the cheapest on Amazon by a fair bit!

Went down the second hand route in the end!

The thread I link to in the first post has mostly positive reviews from people who took the plunge

Bought a phone from them a few weeks ago. Shipping was a bit slow
(They processed the order quickly, and got a shipping confirmation email with tracking number. 3 working days later and the tracking number still didn't show anything. Sent an email/inquiry but no reply, then on day 4, the package shows up on the tracking system and arrived via parcel motel. Don't know if it was them or the courier(parcel force) that caused the delay.)
All arrived intact. A seal on the packaging was broken, but the box appeared unopened (there was two seals, and I couldn't see any evidence of any interference.) The manual was in Chinese and english. So I assume it was a model destined for that market.
Had come across the avforum tread also. The phone is working fine. Nothing out of order with it.

That was my experience with them.
