Work in Norway

    Hi everyone.

    I have a question. I was reading a thread a while back about working in Norway. I am a plumber by trade andn saw that a company called silverback inn Dublin who are looking for plumbers. has anyone have experience of either that company or working in Norway that would help.

    Did you go to Norway OP? A mate of mine is offered electrical work in Sweden from them.

    no. the way they payed wages was once a month. it was too expensive to stay there for a long time with no money coming in.
    I didn't want to also have to share a house with a load of people and was told I could stay on site also in a rig, like a big set of cabins. no thanks.

    I got work in Ireland though, and wages are better here now.

    I know of the company, they give you financial assistance for the first month to cover you.

    Not many companies would do that, plus your meals and accommodation are usually covered.

    yeah but it still ages to go before you get paid. I was told I was to be paid by the first week in the next month. at the time that was nearly 4 weeks away and I would have been flying back home and back out again. I wuldnt have been able to get a cup tea on the plane back even. didn't like the guy who was looking after the job either who was doing the recruiting for them anytime I asked him something I was just looked at like I was thick
