hey, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any products or treatments that would reduce red scarring? I have a fair bit on my face from acne over the years and would love to reduce it. I have tried Bio Oil in the past but I don't think it really made any difference or none that I noticed at the time. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

    Hi

I have a lot of red scarring on my face also from acne. It's like a constant reminder if it!! I have tried different types of lasers and had a peel. I have tried vit c serum, retina A, copper peptides ...........Anyhow I am still trying to find something to reduce them. They are such a pain. I would love not to have to wear foundation, and I know I don't have to but my red scars and other acne scars makes me more uncomfortable without makeup.

Yeah I'm the same. I still get spots but sometimes it's clear enough and if I didn't have so many red scars I might consider going to the shop with no make up! It's a pain and not nice to look at.

I had fraxel laser (for pigmentation) and the nurse told me it's excellent for acne scarring

    Hi

I also have this done but on my skin I did not notice a significant improvement with red scars, however it helped to improve I suppose the texture if the skin and it improved how makeup looked on my skin. However this was my skin and it make be brilliant for someone else.

I'd start by using a bha and aha gel or liquid to get rid of the scaring. Make sure you patch test and work them slowly into your routine. Bhas can also be very drying so keep up using your moisturiser and suncream will also be very important as the two of them increase photosensitivity.

A few people I work with are getting Fraxel for acne scars..they haven't finished treatment yet though so I'm not sure what their opinions on it are. It is covered by VHI if that helps :)

My skin is also quite dry which doesn't help! But I'll have a look around. Thanks

It's covered by vhi??that is interesting news, must check that out. I also have issues with ance scarring. Microdermbrasion didn't work for me so have been looking into dermarolling and laser.
