What should I buy MPV / SUV?

Family man, 3 kids and big dog. Currently on a Octavia, but need a bigger car due to the arrival of the 3rd child (so now a buggy into the boot too). I don't drive a lot, I did 40k miles in the last 5 years. With this in mind what should I choose MPV / SUV?
I was looking for a SUV to start with, Nissan xtrail / Honda CRV. Looking out for suggestions.

Zafira maybe or Verso? To be honest I would stay away from "family suv" , overpriced in maintanence/cost of buying.

Without a budget it's hard to recommend anything.

The problem with most of the smaller 7 seaters is that if you need the 3 rows of seats you tend to loose the space in the boot. You probably need to look at full size 7 seaters like the likes of the Galaxy, Sharan and Alhambra. You may even struggle a bit putting 3 kids, a buggy and a dog into one of them.

Just thought worth mentioning. I do not need to place 3 child seats in the rear. One of my kid has completely moved out of child seats and the other is on a booster seat. That was the reason I was considering SUV's with a large boot. But I could be wrong here, I might still need a MPV. Hope to hear more suggestions.

A full-sized family car (go for an estate) like a Mondeo or a V70 will take a baby seat, a booster seat and a third child sitting normally, across the back.

It can be slightly fiddly fastening the seat belts but I did this for a couple of years with no problems. I've yet to drive an MPV that I like driving.
