Hi, anyone ever use decking for fence panels. Looking for some advice, looking to try something different than standard fence panels. Will be using concrete posts and a concrete base panel.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Stephen. I have used decking boards as fencing.
In my case, the new deck meant the parting walls were no longer high enough.
I bolted 4 x 2" posts to the existing wall and added 4 - 16' x 6" boards on to the posts. I left about a 30mm between the boards (used decking screws). These have been up for over 10 years and have done a great job.
I am now considering adding a fence with a gate attached at the side entrance of my house. I intend to use 3 bolt-down post holders, 4x4 posts and attach the cut decking boards to the posts. The gate will be attached to one of the 4x4 posts and the other side will be attached to a post on the house.
Alternatively I may use 4x4 H posts, and cut the deck boards to suit. This may look better, but it will depend on H posts and fixings available.
I'm using the deck boards, rather than fence panels as they will last longer and don't blow down in the wind, put they will not be solid, with 50mm gaps between each board.

I would think that a "full" deck fence panel would be very heavy (and expensive)

#I got heavy panels from Abbeylawn and they are every bit as good and half the price
