    Hi Folks,

Going to play an Open in one of these two courses on Monday. I haven't played either and wanted advice as to which course is better? Anyone played both?

The entry fee is €15 for both and singles stableford competition.

Haven't played either in a long time, but €15 for either seems very good value.
I don't think you'll be disappointed wherever you choose.

    I'd go with Beaverstown.

Not sure what the situation is with Donabate. Was living in the area last year and was getting flyers in offering membership at outragously low prices. they are having massive financial difficulties, so that usually translates into issues on the golf course.

Irregardless I think Beaverstown is more enjoyable experience. Donabate can be nice in the good weather, but its very basic, straight, and to be honest, easy. Beaverstown is a bit more of a test and is always enjoyable.

Beaverstown as well for me. Donabate is the kind of course you play once.

Was a member in Donabate last year. It's fine without ever being great. No real standout holes, very straight and repetitive.

Joined Beaverstown this year and I'm really enjoying it.It's a much more interesting round. The greens alone are worth the money.
