I got this dress for my 30th in a few weeks and I have no idea what to pair it with. I'd like to pair it with something a bit colourful but just have no idea what type of shoes/jewellery would go.

I also want to wear it to a wedding at the end of the summer so would need some sort of jacket to wear with it for the church part of the wedding. Its very structured and so the skirt part does not lie flat so I have no idea what type of jacket would work. 652727_main?$CrossSellProductPage514$

Have you thought about wearing pink shoes with it? I think they would look fav with it and the whole look would be so cute!

Pink is def an option, just no idea what style of shoe would work. I saw it with a pair of pink pointy toe heels on a website and I thought the shoes got lost a little. Maybe a chunky heel or wedge?

I am terrible when it comes to accessories. I always feel my jewellery doesn't match or i've picked the wrong pieces and tend to leave them off. I buy a lot of jewellery/shoes and never wear them a lot of the time.

I would go with the pointy court shoe - Topshop have a fab range of courts and even something like this......

but they have a range of colours in that style!

I wouldn't fancy a chunky heel with it myself.

I think a pointed court shoe would look better than a chunky heel or wedge..
As regards jewellery I really don't think it needs much. If you have long hair I think a long wavy ponytail would be nice and some simple stud earrings.

I'd go with bright shoes, either pink, red or even yellow or orange. I'd go with a thin to mid sized heel and either a court shoe or strappy shoe. I think I'd stay away from wedges.

Then I'd properly wear my hair up with dangly earrings something like these or these and maybe a simple bracelet to finish it off. I'd try to make sure the bracelet and earrings match in terms of tone (i.e. both similar gold or silver tones).

Oh and a nice pashmina might be the easiest thing to have as a cover up for the wedding. If it's a summer wedding it's likely you might not need a jacket.

I think a white cropped tailored blazer could go very nicely with it for a wedding. Don't let this week's weather fool you, people! It won't last! Why are people saying stay away from wedges? Also, go with chunky black jewelry and as bright a manicure as you can!

@barleybooley I prefer wearing heels to wedges, I think they make my legs/feet look nicer and I feel I look a bit clunky in wedges. Definitely a personal preference there, but as the dress looks quite elegant/pretty I think a heeled shoe would finish it off better. Again this is totally my personal preference. :)

And true it could be cooler when the wedding is. If you are going for a white jacket I would be careful that the two white's match. I find it hard sometimes to make two different items that are both white match.

Thanks so much for all the advice. I am def more comfortable with a platform or wedge heel. I'm not overweight but I'm not petite and I feel I look off balance in pointy court shoes (also can't walk in them without the platform).

I like the idea of a statement earring and will look out for a cropped jacket or pashmina to see which works best.

Had anyone ever used one of the personal shopping services to style a dress they already own? I know debenhams and house of Fraser do them but would it matter that I didn't get the dress there?
